Purpose-Research Associates 2001-Present Co-Founder With the current discoveries in the sciences, mankind has entered a new era. Dramatic changes took place in the 20th century. The universe looks different to us than it was assumed to be in the 19th century. The eternity concept of our universe is gone. We know that the stars, including our sun, are birthed, evolve and die. Mankind has to face the unpleasant fact that their species may have a limited existence range on this planet. As the dinosaurs came and went, so may the mammals, including mankind. What is the next stage after mankind is gone? This is one of the areas Purpose-Research is exploring. Another area we are researching is the individual’s place in this marvelously designed universe of ours. How does it all fit together? Up until now scientists have had only a scant interest in the subject of purpose. They were more concerned with the “efficient cause,” the mechanisms that actually make things happen.
Newton’s Apple Preschool 2004-2008 Administrator Newton’s Apple Preschool provided structured educational experiences for 2-5 year-old children in a caring environment. The program emphasized the development of a child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive abilities through the use of the Core Knowledge® curriculum sequence. Newton’s Apple Preschool was designed by people within a local community who care about the health, safety, and development of children.
The Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence® promotes excellence and fairness in early childhood education. Internationally, the most successful educational systems teach a core of knowledge in the early stages when children are the most eager to learn and most open to educational experiences. Only by explicitly specifying the competencies and knowledge that all children should share can we guarantee equal access to those competencies and knowledge. This teaching method provides a solid and coherent foundation for later learning experiences.
Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association (WCCAA) – 2006 - 2008 Region 4 President The mission of the WCCAA is to support each other as child care administrators in providing quality programming for Wisconsin’s families.
